September welfare outing

The IWC will be visiting Pere Guido (‘Servants of Charity’) and having a ‘potluck’ lunch at Plateau de Beteke (approximately 2 hours drive from Kinshasa) on Thursday 15 September. Departure time is 8am from carpark at the Memling Hotel. RSVP is essential; please RSVP by sending a sms to 081 536 6674, along with details of what food item (salad, cake, biscuits) you would like to contribute.

 

The outing and 'pot luck lunch'

to visit Pere Guido (Servants of Charity) and the boys at their premises at Plateau de Bateke has been changed to Wednesday 14 September. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Plateau de Bateke is approximately 2 hours drive out of Kinshasa. Therefore, we will departing from the carpark at the Memling Hotel at 8am, with an estimated return time of 3-4pm (depending on traffic). Manuela will be preparing pasta for those attending as well as the boys at the Plateau, and Linda shall be preparing BBQ chicken. Members and guests attending are asked to bring either a salad which can be enjoyed there, or something sweet (cake or buiscuits) which can be left behind for the boys.

Please advise by return email if you would like to attend or have any queries. Requested RSVP is by Sunday evening (11 September) to assist with catering.
